The Core
You don’t have to work hard or suffer to be in paradise.
I am a lazy man. Laziness keeps me from believing that enlightenment demands effort, discipline, strict diet, non-smoking, and other evidences of virtue.
There is a paradise in and around you right now, and to be there you don’t even have to make a move. All potential experiences are within you already.
You can open up to them at any time!

I love this quote, and as someone with a tendency to identify as an Enneagram 9 – the ego sloth – I believe it’s inherently true.
But at the same time – it’s so easy to let my patterns hold me and take me away from this paradise.
The challenge for me is to remember enlightenment is right here right now and doesn’t need any practice, and AT THE SAME TIME practice is needed to realize this truth and then needed to maintain it.
No practice and diligent practice – that’s non-duality for me
