Live Video Webcast with Rupert Spira
You’ve probably noticed that we have posted various listings for “Live Events” lately for several teachers and authors. Most of these would most likely fall under one of the following categories: meetings, talks, get-togethers, satangs, retreats or intensives. However, we are pleased to introduce you to a unique way of holding such an event. In this case, an “online satsang” with Rupert Spira.
For those of you who are unsure about the format of online satsang, here’s a quote from Rupert’s last newsletter [from one of the past participants] “The application works very well. I have to admit that I wasn’t so sure about a satsang online, but it was a very pleasant surprise. It was a great meeting, vibrant and alive, more than some live satsangs I’ve attended.”
This was indeed an encouraging response to a rather new venture, which is brought to you by the fine folks over at Neti Neti Media. I certainly agree that it’s a wonderful way for people all over the world to get together. It appears that one of their earlier online meetings was attended by people from USA, UK, Sweden, Australia and Japan!
What to expect?
Conversations With Rupert Spira on The Non-Dual Nature Of Experience
It is both audio and video. Rupert will start the seminar with a short contemplation and will then receive questions from participants. If you have a question, then you raise your “virtual hand” [by simply clicking a hand image] and when you are connected/selected, your image appears on everyone’s screen while speaking.
When you are finished with your question or comment, then the image automatically switches to the main host or speaker on all the participants’ screens – pretty cool!
This is very similar to Skype for everyone who is familiar with that, except better quality perhaps.
Feel free to attend the next web seminar on January 30th if you’d like to see how it all works. This live video webcast will be the first of a series of online meetings and it will last for two hours. You can register for the new upcoming web seminars with Rupert and hear past recordings here.
*Please note: they recommend that you have a video camera connected to your computer [prior to the meeting] so you can fully experience and take part in the meeting.
